Give Securities
Transfer stocks and bonds to United Way of Central and Southern Utah through your broker.
Give from an IRA
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can donate directly from your IRA to United Way without being taxed by making a Qualified Charitable Donation (QCD).
Give from a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Donate through your DAF to United Way of Central and Southern Utah.
Beneficiary Designation Gifts
Make United Way of Utah County a beneficiary of an IRA, insurance policy, and more.
Give Property
Give excess property to United Way of Central and Southern Utah.

Give through An IRA
If you are 72½ or older and have a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), you can reduce your taxable income by donating directly from your IRA. You can even give without penalty at 70½ before your RMD begins. Contact your IRA plan administrator to make a gift from your IRA.
Give From a Will
You can make a difference, not just today, but for future generations by including United Way in your Will.
Sample will language:
“I, [Name], of [City, State, Zip], give, devise, and bequeath to United Way of Central and Southern Utah (DBA United Way of Utah County), a nonprofit corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Utah, and with the principal business address of 148 North 100 West, Provo, Utah 84601, the following asset(s) and/or property, to be used for United Way of Utah County’s general charitable purposes:
Dollar amount of money
Percentage of my residuary estate
Description of specific asset (real estate, stocks, bonds, etc.)
Beneficiary Designation Gifts
This is a great option if you plan on giving other assets you your family, as an IRA can be difficult to inherit.
