Literacy

Age: For ages 7-12

Description: Children are encouraged to sign up who need some extra support with language and literacy. We use hands-on activities, including science experiments and building/creating projects, to work on skills needed for reading and writing. A brief assessment will be completed at the beginning and end of the group to measure progress and make recommendations for continuing to support literacy skills at home. Children should be able to write short sentences and read very simple stories to participate in this group.
