Young Living Essential Oils hosted its third annual Lavender Days on June 27 and 28. Partial proceeds from the event went to support United Way of Utah County and its community programs. The event was held at Young Living Lavender Farm in Mona.
As part of the Lavender Days activities, families learned about the nationwide Born Learning Trail. United Way of Utah County installed a temporary trail on site to introduce the community to the program. The trail was developed to raise the awareness of adults and caregivers about the importance of engaging young children in play and educational activities. The trail provides ideas to help stimulate children’s minds.
A United Way information booth allowed interested individuals to learn more about the trail and its mission.
In addition to a 5K race, Lavender Days participants enjoyed an array of other activities. Paddle boat rides, pony rides, live music, professional medieval jousting, a western town and educational courses on a variety of topics such as gardening and healthy living were offered.
