Community Councils

United Way values community involvement among its citizens. Following is a listing of various community councils that meet regularly. Information listed may be outdated or incomplete. In an effort to form a current and comprehensive listing of community councils, we need your help. Children At Risk
Purpose: Confidential staffing and coordination of services for families and children at risk.
Connections Council
Connections Council, organized by United Way, is an opportunity for information sharing and agency updates, allowing human service agencies to become familiar with one another through presentations and tours.
Continuum of Care
This council's vision is to to address homeless and housing issues, to develop resources and projects to meet housing and homeless needs in the Mountainland Region (Utah, Wasatch and Summit Counties)
Community Planning Administrative Team
Purpose: Identify, plan and coordinate around regional resources to provide better services agency-to-agency and agency-to-consumer. Identify gaps in service and other resource related issues. Gather and share information to promote resource education.
Domestic Violence Coalition
Purpose: In cooperation with the Division of Child and Family Services, develops and reviews domestic violence policies and procedures, advocates for the availability and accessibility of domestic violence services.
The Partners for Infants and Children
A Utah County Early Childhood council that consist of early childhood agency representatives, parents, and other interested community members. The council meets monthly to address needs of young children and their families in Utah County.

Service Workshop
Service Workshop, presented by United Way, provides training for volunteer managers on basic volunteer management topics each month.
Utah County Safe Kids Chapter
Safe Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated solely to the prevention of unintentional childhood injury - the number one cause of death for children ages 14 and under.
Timpanogos Community Network
A weekly networking meeting of agencies, businesses and community members who are concerned about helping low-income and minority populations.
Utah Emergency Food Network Association
Purpose: To address hunger in Utah by supporting the food pantries and food assistance programs throughout Utah through marketing, food drives, training, peer to peer support, advocacy around hunger and food stamp issues, etc.
